Dr Geoffrey Konye

Growing up in Nakuru, Kenya, I developed a liking for rugby at a young age. I played High school rugby at Menenegai High School, Nakuru, and after graduation, I migrated to the USA where i played local club rugby at the Wichita Rugby Football Club.

While attending my studies in the US, I was heavily involved with a group that financed and supported age-grade rugby and development in Nakuru. Since then, I have been involved at various levels in supporting both boys' and girls' development rugby and rugby league  in Nakuru and Nairobi.

I am big proponent of player education for the young developing players, i mentor the players that are interested in Health sciences  and Medicine.

Florence Bobin

It has always been my conviction that the practice of physical activities would bring out the best in people. In my experience sport, at any level emulates qualities such as discipline, dedication, patience, friendship, self-confidence, and a host of other qualities which will then translate into a fruitful and balanced life.

I wholeheartedly subscribe to Pierre de Coubertin’s famous principle:  “ the most important thing is not to win but to participate.  Practicing sport in a team or as an individual, from a young age, fosters those qualities which will then permeate a person’s future life. Indeed, in an ideal world, it should be an integral part of any educational program.

It is my sincere belief that DBA goals are to achieve this.
