ANDREW AMONDE RETIREMENT BENEFIT DINNER

As DBA’s Rugby Academy Ambassador, we had to celebrate Andrew’s outstanding career and thank him for his tireless efforts by hosting a retirement dinner. The evening consisted of welcome drinks followed by dinner, entertainment, auctions plus words and more from the legend himself.

The event was a success, completely sold out and the message that carried the day was that "DBA AFRICA is here to support youth development.

DBA AFRICA'S ROUND TABLE

The DBA Africa Round Table convenes key stakeholders, from athletes and parents to corporate leaders and journalists, to address critical challenges and unlock the vast potential of Kenyan sport. Our May 21st, 2025, discussion highlighted significant barriers, including inadequate rural facilities, a pervasive trust deficit due to mismanagement, and insufficient athlete welfare. Corporate representatives underscored the need for transparent, measurable impact before investment. The resounding consensus affirmed that athlete-first programs, built on inclusivity, transparency, and strong management, are paramount. DBA Africa's proven model, encompassing local academies, scholarships, and a strong focus on empowering girls in sport, was presented as a successful, scalable solution for impactful sports development. Join us in shaping a brighter, more equitable future for African sport.
