Women’s hockey in Kenya is set for a major boost as DBA Africa, the Kenya Hockey Union, and the Australian High Commission in Kenya join forces to support the development of the Kenya Women’s Premier League.

This groundbreaking partnership, initiated in response to a request from Hockey Australia, is designed to enhance the growth of women’s hockey by providing resources, mentorship, and international connections.

Empowering Women’s Hockey in Kenya

Kenya’s women’s hockey teams have demonstrated significant potential in international competitions. With the expansion of the **National Women’s Premier League**, this partnership aims to **bridge the gap between grassroots and elite hockey** by equipping teams with the necessary tools for success.

DBA Africa, a leader in sports development in Africa, will spearhead the initiative, ensuring that the collaboration delivers meaningful and sustainable impact.

Key Objectives of the Partnership

- Provision of Equipment – All 10 Premier League teams will receive essential hockey gear, including balls, bibs, cones, and coaching materials.

- International Collaboration – Strengthening ties between professional and semi-professional hockey organisations in Australia and Kenya.

- Capacity-Building and Mentorship – Enhancing the skills of players, coaches, and umpires through knowledge-sharing and training.
