FESTIVALS
Small-scale, high-energy mini-tournaments designed for pure expression. These serve as the primary entry point for all athletes under 18, allowing teams to compete in a low-pressure environment where "play" is the focus of development.

Introduction:
At DBA Africa, we believe that "playtime" is far more than just a break, it is a critical for learning, growth, and character development. We treat playtime with the seriousness it deserves, operating under the conviction that training is only as good as the testing ground where it is applied.
To bridge the gap between grassroots fun and progress in rugby, we have designed a seamless four-stage competitive system. Each stage acts as a "talent filter," ensuring that every athlete has a visible pathway to be scouted, supported, and advanced toward global opportunities.
By integrating these four pillars, DBA Africa ensures that "play" is the first step toward a future. Whether it is a local festival or an international tour, our programmes are engineered to create pathways for success, providing the scholarships and scouting opportunities that turn athletic potential into a reality.
We believe in the power of sport not only to inspire, but to educate. Through our growing range of educational initiatives, we aim to equip young people with essential life skills that reach far beyond the playing field.
From financial literacy to gender equity, violence prevention, and mental well-being, our goal is to design and deliver programmes that use sport to build practical, lifelong skills.
We use sport as a gateway to learning - and learning as a tool to elevate athletes. Whether it’s a rugby session that ends with a discussion on leadership, or a football tournament that integrates lessons on entrepreneurship, our approach blends physical activity with age-appropriate, impactful education.
This is our vision: a generation of athletes who are not only skilled in their sport, but informed, confident, and prepared for life.
