Little 5 Athlete Programme Introduction

The Little 5 Athlete Programme

The Little 5 is a compact, age-appropriate life skills curriculum integrated into regular academy training for young athletes (ages 10–18).

Delivered in short weekly sessions alongside sport, it promotes learning through interaction, play, discussion, and role play.

LITTLE 5 OUTCOMES

Participants gain practical tools to improve performance, manage wellbeing, make informed financial decisions, and prepare for life beyond sport. Financial literacy empowers athletes, especially from underserved backgrounds, to confidently manage income, savings, and sponsorships for long-term stability.

The Big 5 programme

A blended, cohort-based development course for early and mid-career athletes(ages 18–35) across sports in Kenya, designed to provide the practical knowledge many athletes only access later in their careers.

BIG 5 OUTCOMES

Young athletes develop self-awareness, empathy, respect, and essential life skills.

Post programme athletes gain confidence to:

  1. Make better decisions,

  2. Manage small-scale finances,

  3. Build habits that support both their sporting journey and broader development.
