Since its inception in 2021, the DBA Rugby Academy has been more than just a training ground; it has become a powerful engine for youth development and a beacon of opportunity in the Kenyan sports landscape. As we officially kick off our new season, we reflect on the incredible journey so far and look forward to an even more impactful future.

Over the past four years, we are proud to have welcomed thousands of young athletes through our program, both directly and indirectly. From our youngest participants to our seniors, the academy has provided a structured and nurturing environment for boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 18 to learn, grow, and excel. Our program is designed to not only build rugby skills but also to instill key core values.

A key partner in our success has been Wazi Wazi, a Japanese-based company that shares our vision for promoting sports in Kenya. Their generous sponsorship has been instrumental in allowing us to provide top-tier coaching, quality equipment, and essential resources to our athletes. This partnership is a testament to the belief that sport can be a catalyst for positive change and a bridge between communities.

Beyond the field, the DBA Rugby Academy has a profound commitment to education. We firmly believe that a rugby career and academic success are not mutually exclusive—they are complementary. We are incredibly proud of the numerous educational opportunities our athletes have received, both locally and internationally. Our program has been a great starting point for students to secure up to 100% scholarships at prestigious institutions in the UK such as Brynston School, a testament to their hard work and the holistic development they receive under the DBA umbrella. These opportunities not only transform individual lives but also create role models who inspire their peers and future generations.

The excitement is palpable as we officially welcome back our young athletes for the new season. The first academy session was a tremendous success, filled with energy, camaraderie, and a shared passion for the game. We are thrilled to announce a packed calendar ahead, complete with exciting fixtures, vibrant festivals, and the highly anticipated Futures Cup.

This season, we are dedicated to pushing our athletes to new heights, both on and off the field. Our goal remains the same: to not only produce skilled rugby players but to shape disciplined, confident, and well-rounded young leaders who are ready to make a positive impact in their communities.
